How to play

A real photo appears: a famous picture, a first-of-its-kind gadget, a plane, a building or a big event.
Drag the pin along the timeline from 1800 to 2025. Zoom in to set the exact year, or use the − and + buttons.
Lock it in. The real year drops onto the timeline next to yours, with what the picture shows.
The exact year scores 1,000. The further off, the fewer points, down to 0 at 40 years off.

Look at the clothes, the cars and the colours of the photo itself. Black and white usually means older.
For gadgets, think about when you first saw one, then go a few years earlier.
